Guanyu Huang (individual developer, hereinafter "I", "me", or "my") respects and protects your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. This policy applies to all users of the Contenext application.

1. Information I Collect

• Account Information: Email address, username, and encrypted password collected during registration.
• Usage Data: Your reading preferences, likes, bookmarks, and browsing history, used to improve AI personalization.
• User-Generated Content: Comments you post in the community.
• Device Information: Device model and operating system version, used to optimize app compatibility.
• I do not actively collect precise geolocation, contacts, photos, or other sensitive information.

2. How I Use Information

• To provide personalized AI content recommendations.
• To maintain and improve app functionality and user experience.
• To process user feedback and support requests.
• To prevent fraud and maintain platform security.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Your account password is stored using industry-standard encryption.
• Local data is stored on your device; account data is stored on secure servers.
• I implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
• While I strive to protect your data, no transmission or storage method is 100% secure.

4. Information Sharing

• I do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• I may share information: with your explicit consent; to comply with legal requirements or court orders; or to protect legitimate interests or user safety.
• Comments posted in the community are visible to other users.

5. Third-Party Services

• The App uses the DeepSeek AI API to generate content. Your interest preferences (not personally identifiable information) may be transmitted to the AI service to generate relevant content.
• I do not transmit your email, password, or other identity information to AI service providers.

6. Your Rights

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486, Laws of Hong Kong), you have the right to: access personal data I hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; and withdraw consent to data processing.

7. Data Retention

• I retain your data for the duration of your account.
• After account deletion, I will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If I discover such collection, I will delete it promptly.

9. Cookies and Tracking

The App does not use cookies. I only use local storage to save your app preference settings.

10. Policy Changes

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of significant changes through in-app notifications. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, in particular the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

12. Multilingual Versions

This policy is available in multiple languages. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the language versions, the English version shall prevail.
